HEATER

Description

HEATER is a family of made-to-size electric resistance heaters built from modular aluminium heatsink extrusions and industrial heating films.

The profile forms both the structure and the emitting surface, using its geometry to increase heat diffusion. Length is specified in 5 mm increments, while heatsink modules can be tiled to achieve greater widths.

The heaters connect to the electrical supply like conventional electric radiators, or via a wall plug. Temperature can be controlled through a standard smart room thermostat or controls integrated into the unit.

The configurator lets you explore specific configurations and begin the quotation process.

Information

DIMENSIONING
Size the heater’s power output as for a standard electric radiator, using the room or building heat-loss calculation. A local heating contractor can perform this calculation. Contact Zeroth if project-specific guidance is required.
ENERGY USAGE
With thermostatic control, an oversized heater does not consume more electricity simply because its maximum output is higher. It heats the room faster, then remains off for longer. Actual consumption depends primarily on room heat loss, thermostat setting and operating time.
COMFORT
The larger emitting surface provides gentler heat distribution and a greater radiant contribution than many conventional radiators. This can improve perceived comfort and may allow a slightly lower thermostat setting; any energy saving depends on how the heater is used.
EFFICIENCY
The heater uses electric resistance and converts nearly all electricity consumed at the point of use into heat, as do other electric resistance heaters.
SAFETY
Three protection levels are provided: the operating thermostat, an automatic thermal switch at 70 °C, and a 100 °C thermal fuse as the final safeguard.
TEMPERATURE
The heater is designed to remain below 70 °C at the heating element and below 50 °C at the fin tips during normal operation. Surfaces may still feel hot; avoid prolonged contact.
USE
Not suitable for wet rooms or locations exposed to water.
CERTIFICATIONS
European and international certification work is in progress, with completion targeted for early 2027.
DELIVERY
The configurator provides indicative pricing for pre-orders. First deliveries are planned for early 2027.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The heater must be earthed. Connection is comparable to a standard electric radiator and must comply with local electrical regulations. A qualified electrician must provide a suitably protected supply. A room thermostat requires a contactor controlled by the thermostat relay.
MOUNTING INSTALLATION
Mechanical installation requires a drill, level, and wall plugs and screws suitable for the substrate and heater load. It may be completed by a competent contractor or installer.
INSTALLATION CLEARANCE
Allow at least 10 mm above and below the heater for installation. A 3.6 m aluminium element expands by approximately 4.2 mm over a 50 °C temperature rise; allow at least 5 mm for thermal movement.
SUSTAINABILITY
Approximately 98% of the product by mass is aluminium. The aluminium body is durable and recyclable. Operational emissions depend strongly on the electricity supply; using renewable electricity reduces them. Contact Zeroth for project-specific renewable-electricity guidance.
MAINTENANCE & REPAIR
Dust the fins with a soft brush or wipe them with a damp cloth only when the heater is isolated from the electrical supply and cool. Electrical servicing must be performed by a qualified professional. The aluminium body has no scheduled replacement interval. The heating element has a target service life of 10–15 years under sustained use and is replaceable; actual life depends on operating conditions.
SHIPPING
Packaging, shipping method, cost and lead time are confirmed in the formal quotation according to heater dimensions, quantity and destination.
RETURNS
Return eligibility for made-to-size products and the applicable conditions will be confirmed before the order is placed.
WARRANTY
Warranty coverage and duration will be stated in the formal quotation.
